Nicolas Traeder
I'm a tech entrepreneur from Berlin and a partner at konek.to. I go into companies, figure out how the work really happens, and build what helps.
Who I am
I studied computer science at TU Berlin, spent three years at a Berlin agency, and in 2017 co-founded konek.to, where I'm still a partner today. That's where the building happens: custom software and AI systems for teams whose work doesn't fit off-the-shelf tools.
I'm a father of two and live in the north of Berlin. I work in Linux, Emacs and Vim, and if you want to see what that means, press space.
Things I'll say in the first meeting
- Your process is the product. The app is just where it lives.
- If nobody in your company hates the current workflow, don't build anything yet.
- AI is the cheapest* it's ever been to try a dumb idea. Try three.
- A prototype on Friday beats a specification in March.
- I will tell you when the answer is a spreadsheet.
- A project only gets good once we both understand the same problem.
How I work
I talk a lot, you'll notice that quickly. I ask questions until I understand your business well enough to argue with you about it. The first thing I say is usually wrong. The second thing is usually the project.
I'm still in the code every day. AI writes most of it now, I read all of it. That's how I know what's possible, what's cheap, and what's a trap.
Talk to me
Email works best. I read everything and answer the way I talk.
No budget yet, but a real problem? Write anyway. Problems are the interesting part.
